The Tiburon Salmon Institute
is committed to preserving resources through education. The organization allows young students to participate in projects where they care for and manage young salmon in a hatchery near San Francisco Bay. Each year, the Institute releases 50,000 salmon into the Bay, and leaves student participants with a lasting impression of their impact on the environment.
The DotGreen Foundation donation was directed toward a Tiburon Salmon Institute project outfitting a large tank for trout, salamanders, crayfish and other animals, to create an exhibit to teach student about marine habitat. Schools all over the Bay Area benefit from this educational project.
